Is it bad if I crack my own back/neck?
Yes! When a person cracks their own back/neck, they are just moving the joints that are already moving. When you continue to do that over and over, the joints become hypermobile (move too much) and make you more prone to joint pain, ligament injuries, and joint degeneration. When a chiropractor adjusts a joint, we target the joints that aren’t moving how they’re supposed to or are stuck out of position. When we adjust those stuck joints, we do so without the same risks of injury or hypermobility.
